THE INCEPTION OF SARC

SARC (Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration) is a non-profit organization dedicated to sarcoma research.

SARC grew out of the collective ambition of sarcoma physicians across the United States to improve the outcomes of their patients with sarcoma. Recognizing the value of pooling their intellectual and patient resources, a core group of medical and pediatric sarcoma experts at five major medical facilities formed SARC in 2003 to conduct novel and provocative sarcoma research.

Since that time, SARC has engaged additional key individuals from across the country in the medical community specializing in sarcoma to join together for a single research initiative: the discovery of prevention methods and a cure for sarcoma.
