Dr. Stephen Lessnick serves as the Director of the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and he holds the Elizabeth M. & Richard M. Ross Endowed Chair in Pediatric Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.  Dr. Lessnick is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University and is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation.  Additionally, he serves as the Vice Chair for Biology of the Bone Tumor Committee at Children’s Oncology Group.  The Lessnick Lab studies Ewing sarcoma with a particular emphasis on the biology of the EWS/FLI transcription factor and opportunities for targeting the transcription factor as a therapeutic opportunity.

Dr. Sunil Sharma is a Senior Director of Clinical Research, Director of the Center for Investigational Therapeutics, Chief of the Division of Medical Oncology, and an investigator at the HCI. He holds a Jon and Karen Huntsman Presidential Professorship in Cancer Research and has also acquired extensive expertise in the development and testing of new cancer therapies. At HCI, Dr. Sharma has established an extensive Phase I clinical trials program with over 20 trials open, including first in human studies of new drugs.
