Elizabeth Lawlor, MD, PhD

Chair, SARC Career Development Program and Member of the Developmental Therapeutics Committee
Dr. Lawlor is Associate Director for Education and Training at Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan. She received her M.D. from McMaster University and completed clinical training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology as well as her PhD in Vancouver, Canada. Following post-doctoral research training in Molecular Oncogenesis at UCSF, she joined Children's Hospital Los Angeles/USC in 2004 before moving to the University of Michigan in 2010. Dr. Lawlor's research is focused on investigating how hijacking of normal stem cell and developmental programs contributes to the initiation and progression of Ewing sarcoma. She assumed the role of Chair for the SARC Career Development Program in 2016.
