Updates from the 2024 SARC Semiannual Meeting before ASCO

We were honored that this year’s SARC Semiannual Meeting before ASCO was yet again very well attended. Attendees heard thought-provoking talks on DNA damage response proteins and genomic integrity, investigational strategies and lessons learned for immunotherapy, the pros and cons of tertiary lymphoid structures as a predictive biomarker, advances in characterizing desmoplastic small round cell tumors, and SARC-sponsored, investigator-initiated clinical trials. SU2C-SARC032 Positive Results Revealed at ASCO

David Kirsch MD PhD unveiled the SU2C-SARC032 findings at ASCO 2024.  The results indicate that adding Pembrolizumab decreases the risk of cancer recurrence by 43% two years after treatment.  About SU2C-SARC032

RESEARCH UPDATE

SARC037 Progress  Announced at ASCO 2024

Patrick Grohar MD PhD presented the SARC037 findings at ASCO 2024. The results suggest that EWS::FLI1 is a target for Ewing sarcoma and the combination of trabectedin/irinotecan is active in treatment-refractory Ewing sarcoma patients. About SARC037
