Karla Ballman, PhD Statistician Weill Cornell Medical College Dr. Karla Ballman is the Professor of Biostatistics and Division Chief, Weill Cornell Medical College, Biostatistics and Epidemiology, New York, NY. She is recognized as an expert in cancer research study design and analysis for clinical trials, translational studies and basic research studies. Dr. Ballman was the group statistician for the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group (ACOSOG), and is currently the lead statistician for the Neuro-Oncology Committee of the Alliance adult cooperative group. During the course of her career, she has contributed to practice changing research and continues to do so. She received her MS and PhD-Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. Dr. Ballman is statistician for SARC providing critical input and insight into SARC research.
