Dr. Meng Welliver is a Senior Associate Consultant and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she serves as the Sarcoma Disease Group Lead for Radiotherapy. She is an active member of the Experimental Therapeutics Committee and Sarcoma Working Group at NRG Oncology and Alliance Oncology. As a highly accomplished translational radiation oncologist, Dr. Welliver integrates her expertise in clinical care, DNA repair, cancer cell metabolism, and clinical trials to advance sarcoma research and treatment. She has led and co-led multiple early-phase clinical trials, including a Phase Ib trial of an MDM2 inhibitor combined with radiotherapy for soft tissue sarcoma. Currently, she is pioneering research on the use of PARP inhibitors to enhance the efficacy of radiotherapy and immunotherapy in sarcoma, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies to improve patient outcomes.
