Cigall Kadoch, PHD
Dr. Kadoch studied Cancer Biology at the Stanford University School of Medicine from September 2009–September 2012. Her central focus was identifying and characterizing novel members of the mSWI/SNF or BAF complex and uncovering the role these complexes play in cancer development.
Dr. Kadoch has extensive training in protein biochemistry, chromatin biology, and bioinformatic analyses gained through the use of biochemical and molecular biology-based approaches to dissect the mechanisms by which alterations to BAF complex proteins can promote malignancy.
The SARC Career Development Award will help Dr. Kadoch meet her goal of developing a research lab with interests in mesenchymal stem cell diseases, an area of investigation which has yet to be focused on in academic cancer centers.
