Dr. Torres is currently completing a surgical oncology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas where she will remain as faculty. After receiving her medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she completed a general surgery residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, she obtained PhD in molecular pharmacology also from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
SARC is pleased to award Dr. Torres the 2011 Career Development Award to support her work entitled: “The role of the P13K/AKT/mTOR pathway in radiation associated sarcoma.”
