Dr. Masanori Hayashi is currently a 4th year research and clinical fellow in Pediatric Oncology at the joint program of Johns Hopkins University and the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Hayashi is a graduate of Keio Gijuku University School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center prior to his fellowship.
Since 2012, he has been working in the laboratory of Dr. David Loeb at Johns Hopkins University working on the biology of Ewing sarcoma metastasis. Dr. Hayashi is particularly interested in the identification of novel metastasis specific pathways in Ewing sarcoma, and the development of novel biomarkers of metastasis, through the characterization of circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA.
