Armelle Dufresne, MD, PHD

Dr. Dufresne is a French medical oncologist, specialized in the management of patients with sarcoma. Her commitment to sarcoma translational research developed during her present doctoral (PhD) studies with Professor Jean-Yves Blay, and the SARC Career Development Award will enable her to pursue cutting edge sarcoma translational research with post-doctoral fellowship in Dr. Jonathan Fletcher’s lab. She will study the role of dystrophin inactivation in GIST as a potential mediator of invasion and metastasis, with clinical applications.
