Gina D’Amato, MD

Dr. D’Amato an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, where she serves as a sarcoma medical oncologist, assistant director of clinical research, and medical director of the Comprehensive Treatment Unit.

She received her B.S. from University of Miami, M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. In 2003, during her last year of hematology/oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, she began her focus GIST and other sarcomas. In addition to her clinical service, she is also involved in clinical trials for GIST and other sarcomas and is co-director of the oncology pathway in a newly implemented curriculum for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
