Rita Pecuch Caregiver/Patient Advocate Rita Pecuch is a Senior Data Configuration Engineer at Takeda Pharmaceuticals who lost her father, George, to a rare form of leiomyosarcoma in 2023. She will be starting her Master’s in Bioinformatics in Fall 2024 with the goal of discovering new insights into sarcoma trends, biomarkers, and drug targets. She has been interested in patient advocacy due to her experience as a caregiver, and that is why she was very excited to join the SARC Research Advocacy Council.
