MIB Agents Opens Applications for 2026 OutSmarting Osteosarcoma Research Grants October 9, 2025 Sept. 24, 2025 — MIB Agents, a leading nonprofit dedicated to improving outcomes for osteosarcoma patients, is now accepting Letters of Intent (LOI) for its annual OutSmarting Osteosarcoma Research Grant Program. Established in 2017, the program funds innovative projects aimed at advancing research for osteosarcoma — a rare and aggressive bone cancer that affects roughly 1,000 people in the U.S. each year, half of them children and teens. Over the past nine years, MIB Agents has awarded $2.5 million to support 32 investigators through its $100,000 Hero Award and $50,000 Young Investigator Research Hope Award. The grants are made possible through MIB Agents Family Funds, which allow osteosarcoma families to raise and direct funding toward cutting-edge research in honor of patients and loved ones. “OutSmarting Osteosarcoma is more than a research grant; it’s a partnership between families and scientists, working together to accelerate discovery,” said Christina Ip-Toma, Director of Scientific Programs at MIB Agents. Researchers must submit LOIs via Proposal Central by October 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals in early December, with final awards announced in May 2026.
