The Brian Van Tine Young Investigator Travel Awards December 23, 2025 In honor of Dr. Van Tine’s enduring commitment to mentorship and collaboration, SARC is proud to establish the Brian Van Tine Young Investigator Travel Awards. These awards, with start-up funding provided by an anonymous donor, are designed to help defray travel and lodging costs for trainees and early-career investigators participating in key sarcoma meetings, including SASS-y, SASS, ASCO, and CTOS. This initiative reflects Dr. Van Tine’s belief that scientific progress depends on bringing people together, sharing data, exchanging ideas, and fostering meaningful connections within the sarcoma community. By supporting young investigators’ participation in these critical forums, the awards will help ensure that Brian’s passion for collaboration, learning, and discovery continues to thrive. Dr. Van Tine’s legacy lives on through the science he advanced, the patients he served, and the many colleagues and trainees he inspired along the way. His influence will endure in the collaborations he helped build and in the future leaders of sarcoma research who will benefit from opportunities created in his name. SARC extends its deepest condolences to Dr. Van Tine’s family, loved ones, colleagues, and patients. We honor his memory by carrying forward his spirit of innovation, generosity, and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those affected by sarcoma. His absence will be felt profoundly, but his legacy will guide us for generations to come. More information on the Awards will be available on SARC’s website in January 2026.
