SARC is thrilled to announce our newest Career Development Awardee Lillian Guenther MD, PhD (Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital). Generally acknowledged as among SARC’s “crown jewels,” the Career Development Award (CDA) is a core SARC program geared toward fostering development of innovative research via the cultivation of the ideas and career paths of early-stage, young physicians/scientists dedicated to defeating sarcoma. You can read more about SARC’s CDA program here.

Joanna Przybyl

In addition, SARC is pleased to announce the first recipient of our newest award, the Catalyst Project, Joanna Przybyl, PhD (McGill University). This program identifies, recruits, and fosters promising investigators from diverse scientific backgrounds to become translational researchers in sarcoma. Without the support of both the CDA and the Catalyst Project, uncommon cancers would struggle to attract the talent to make scientific and clinical progress.
