SARC adds Thomas Williams PhD to Board of Directors June 5, 2024 Thomas Williams PhD, chondrosarcoma survivor and consultant for NASA, joined the SARC Board of Directors on May 30, 2024. Tom has extensive experience developing strategic, integrated multidisciplinary research approaches for the Department of Defense and NASA. His efforts have included leading the development of NASA’s Human Research Program’s integrated research plan and implementation strategy to identify and reduce the potential for synergistic impacts of multiple stressors (e.g., radiation effects on CNS, stress from isolation, and altered gravity) impacting astronauts on long-duration space missions.
